1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing and using the taxeinfo.ro website (the "Site"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with any of the provisions below, please do not use the Site.

3. Description of the service

taxeinfo.ro provides free tax calculators for estimating the taxes, duties and social contributions applicable in Romania, along with informational content about Romanian tax legislation. The service is provided free of charge, with no account required.

All calculations run locally, in your browser. The figures you enter into the calculators (income, amounts, thresholds) are never transmitted to, collected by, or stored on our servers — processing happens entirely on your device, via JavaScript.

4. Informational nature — limitation of liability

The results shown by the calculators on the Site are indicative estimates, generated based on the Romanian tax legislation in force as of each calculator's last update, and do not constitute tax, legal, accounting or financial advice in the legal sense of the term.

Tax legislation changes frequently, and each person's or company's situation may have particulars that a generic calculator cannot cover. For decisions with financial or legal impact, we recommend consulting a licensed accountant, tax adviser or lawyer, or checking directly with ANAF (the Romanian tax authority), your local city hall, or another competent institution.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site's operator is not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, resulting from the use or inability to use the calculators or the information on the Site, including — but not limited to — calculation errors, delays in updating information to reflect legislative changes, or decisions made based on the displayed results.

The Site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness or currency of the information presented.

5. Reporting errors

If you notice a discrepancy between a calculator's result and an official figure (for example, from a payslip or a tax assessment notice), we encourage you to write to feedback@taxeinfo.ro. We correct reported errors as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee a fixed response time.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's content — including explanatory text, the calculators' source code, graphic design, logo and structure — is protected by copyright law and is the property of the operator or its licensors. Viewing and using the calculators for personal purposes is permitted. Reproducing, distributing, modifying or commercially using the content without the operator's prior written consent is prohibited.

7. Permitted use

It is prohibited to use the Site for: automated data extraction via scraping or other automated means without prior consent, attempts to affect the Site's operation or security, or any activity unlawful under Romanian law.

8. Links to third-party sites

The Site may contain links to external sources (for example, government portals, legislative texts). We have no control over the content of these third-party sites and take no responsibility for their accuracy or availability.

9. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, without individual prior notice. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute arising from the use of the Site will first be subject to an attempt at amicable resolution; failing that, jurisdiction lies with the Romanian courts local to the operator's registered office.
