1. Who processes your data

2. What data we collect
Data entered into the calculators is not collected. All tax calculations run locally, in your browser, via JavaScript — the amounts, income figures or other numbers you enter are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers. We have no user accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email or other personal data to use the calculators.
The only data we collect is described in section 3, through Google Analytics, and only if you give your consent in the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
3. Google Analytics — traffic data
If you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how the Site is used: which pages are visited, session duration, device and browser type, an approximate geographic location (city level, not exact address), and traffic source (e.g. Google search, direct link).
Your IP address is anonymized before storage (the anonymize_ip parameter is enabled). Data may be transferred to Google servers located outside the European Economic Area, including the United States, based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission — the transfer mechanism Google uses for GDPR compliance.
The Google Analytics script does not load at all — no request is sent to Google's servers — until you explicitly click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Decline" or close the banner without choosing, the script remains blocked.
4. Legal basis for processing
Processing of data through Google Analytics is based exclusively on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — GDPR), given by clicking "Accept" in the cookie banner. We do not rely on any other legal basis (such as legitimate interest) for these cookies, specifically to leave you full control over the decision.

The last two are not cookies in the strict technical sense, but entries in the browser's localStorage — they are not sent to any server and do not require separate consent, as they are strictly necessary for the Site to function (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR / minimal legitimate interest).
6. How to withdraw or change your consent
You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page on the Site — the consent banner will reappear and you can choose again. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You can also delete cookies directly from your browser settings, or use the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
7. Retention period
Data collected through Google Analytics is retained according to the retention policy configured in our Google Analytics account, which does not exceed 14 months from collection, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
To the extent we process personal data (indirectly, through analytics identifiers), you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to find out what data is being processed about you;
- Right to rectification — correction of inaccurate data;
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- Right to restriction of processing;
- Right to data portability;
- Right to object to processing;
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe the processing of your data violates data protection legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Romania:

10. Children
The Site is not specifically directed at minors under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Data security
The Site is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We do not store personal data on our own servers — the only traffic data is managed by Google, under its own security policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect legislative changes or changes to the services used. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
